In August 2015, Sportingbet South Africa released a series of TV commercials which were flighted across national Supersport channels, including Blitz, SuperSport 1, 2 and 4. The national TV campaign featured three television commercials that express the concept that ‘there is no better feeling than being right.’ One 30-second advert highlights the company’s core product, Sportingbet.co.za, which allows customers to place bets on sports with a smartphone, tablet or from a pc. The final two adverts are 10 seconds each and highlight particular features of the product; in-play betting and the convenience of a mobile website, which allows customers to bet on live sport anywhere and at any time.

Produced by HoneyKome and its production arm, VideoSwarm, the commercials star local comedian, Jonathan (Rikus from ‘Radio Raps’) who is seen in various scenarios as the lead character, ‘Dave Le Roux’, enjoying and celebrating the ‘feeling of being right.’ Gordon Laws wrote and conceptualised the campaign and also voiced the announcer billboards, the “interviewer” and the live rugby commentary.

According to Sarah-Jane Cowen, Marketing Manager,  “We have seen a marked increase in visits to our website during the campaign and are impressed with results across all key performance indicators”.
